Response to the Logician: 070603: Part IV of IV

The deity you describe is but a child, you speak of omnipotence and omniscience and omnipresence yet He is only credited with the creation of everything and he cannot interfere with the process. What sort of omnipotent being can only start a process and sits back and hopes that it all goes as He has planned?

Djs: I neither validated nor invalidated the creator’s ‘ability’ to interfere. There is a tremendous anmount that needs to be discussed here but for now let me simply state: If the creator constantly ‘interfered’ then ‘free will’ could not reasonable be called ‘free will’.

Also what sort of being who is for all intents and purposes immortal with no understanding of time as we know it and live it, would put beings on a beautiful planet like this for a nanosecond of a billionth of a nanosecond in immortal terms and then judge them for the rest of eternity on their good and bad behaviours?

Djs: I did not say the creator has ‘…no understanding of time as we know it and live it. I stated, time is not an element of ‘the universal fabric of the creator’.

Logician

You really have no understanding of what a God is, you have fallen into the same traps laid down by people for thousands of years who really couldn’t contemplate eternity if it slapped them in the face.

Djs: Symbiotic panentheism defines ‘God’ as ‘The Whole’. Perhaps you would enlighten me as to how you would define what ‘God is’.

Logician

Eternity young man is but the start of the next “journey” and hopefully you will realise this before you condemn the world to believe in another knee scraping folly. Humans will have to learn to hold their heads up, and stand up for themselves if they are to become anything more than they are today.

Djs: As stated previously, you misinterpret what I have said.

Logician

For God’s sake and your own, open your mind. I look forward to reading your next volumes I have downloaded; I see that you end in the fourth millennium, a step up from the scenario left by your southern counterparts.

Djs: OK

Logician

I know that you believe with all your heart and soul what you have written is for the good of all, and to be quite honest so you should, but the path you are treading as an author of a universal understanding, you have to go further than you have ever believed you could. Can you go beyond your creator?

Djs: Yes.

Logician

You have to if you want to make the world yours, because that is what will happen if everyone takes up your version of the truth, you have put your name to it and therefore you will be recorded as such.

Djs: I did consider putting the concepts ‘out there’ anonymously. I decided if I was to throw ideas into the pool of human knowledge I should take responsibility for what it is I did. As such I reluctantly accept the responsibility and put my name to the work.

Logician

I don’t think you have done it for personal gain, but you really need to think about it, you are treading on the toes of icons like Jesus and Mohammed, not to be taken lightly my young friend, remember you are the one who writes about ripples, some ripples are larger than others.

Djs: I agree. As such I put much thought into ignoring what it is that was given to me regarding an understanding of reality. For a long time I attempted to avoid the work. Ripples, however, are created not only by what it is we decide to do but by what it is we decide not to do. As such I had to weigh the impact my not sharing, not acting upon this information, would generate. I can assure you the internal debate which took place within me was not insignificant. I made the decision I did well aware of the ripples it might generate.

I also decided the conclusions people drew would be of their making not mine.

Logician

If you cannot transcend the creator then all those closest to Him will drown out yours as if you have never existed.                           Just a thought.

Djs: As stated before: see: The War and Peace of a New Metaphysical Perception, Tractate 17 : The Beginning - Theoretical Metaphysics - Introducing the Problem of the End http://www.panentheism.com/Pages/0000322.html

Keep in mind when reading this tractate, the Metaphysical term ‘Being’ (capital ‘B’) is Ontologically ‘God’.

Another thing, the Klein Bottle is flawed, it intersects with itself on the return journey. I know it’s a mathematic wonder and suits a variety of theories but as it intersects with itself it removes a vital part of itself, a part of a journey that has already been taken, you cannot.

Djs: In the book, In the Image of God, I do not use the Klein Bottle as a matter of cosmological ‘fact’ but rather as a mathematical analogy for the physical universe.

Logician

I look forward to crossing your “journey” again.

Peace, Love and Respect

Djs: I would like that. Please feel free to write again.

Logician

Remember : Religion guides you, it doesn’t rule you.

Djs: I agree, as the work clearly demonstrates.

P.S. You think there is a God……………………. I KNOW THERE IS ! That’s the difference.

Djs: You do not ‘know’ there is a God. We do not ‘know’ anything for certain.

We don’t even ‘know’ for certain we exist. We observe we exist. We measure our existence. Science, for the most part, tells us we exist. We believe we exist. Ancient wisdom tells us we exist. Religion, for the most part, tells us we exist. We reason we exist. Dialectics conclude we exist. Philosophy, for the most part, tells us we exist. These three tools, observation – faith – reason, lead us to conclude we exist. And that is the best we can do regarding ‘truth’.

When you say, You think there is a God……………………. I KNOW THERE IS ! what you are actually saying is you believe with your whole being that God exists. That is faith, that is religion. There is nothing ‘wrong’ with having faith. What is lacking in today’s understanding of God and Reality, however, is the reinforcement from the other two tools, namely: ‘observation and measurement’/science and ‘reason and dialectics’/philosophy.

The difference, however, between you and I appears to be, you believe in God. I on the other hand both believe in God AND have added the tools of ‘reason and dialectics’/philosophy and ‘observation and measurement’/science to reinforce faith’s fundamental principle that God exists and then moved forward to use the tools of cosmology, ontology, and metaphysics to understand how it is we each have a direct role to play in the very growth of God and as such we, each and every one of us, have an immense significance in this thing we call Reality and as such we, each and every one of us, have immense responsibilities confronting us.
