Symbiotic Panentheism: A Perceptual Shift for Humankind

Part I of II

This work takes the scientific knowledge we have today and blends it with the religious beliefs that have existed for thousands of years by using the logic of philosophy.

In the process, a model is constructed demonstrating the connection between a Causative Force, the universe, and life. With this comes understanding.

A UNIVERSAL MODEL

Why utilize a model?

We are a visual creature.

How do we build a model of the relationship between a Causative Force, the universe, and life?

We do this by building a model of a universal philosophy and examining it against what we’ve been told; what we believe; what we see; what we reason; social problems we cannot resolve; social problems we think will not be solvable; and the impact the model would have had, would have or will have on society.

We examine the significance of this model against the ideas of beginning/end concepts and against the idea of creation/destruction of the very universe within which we are located.

We do this by starting from where we are and using what we have learned of the universe through science, what we believe through religion, and what we reason through philosophy.

We then construct a model which seems to encompass and fuse together all this information without destroying any of it.

We have worked long and suffered much to gain this information.

We do not want to destroy it.

We must respect the effort, the pain, and the blood that was spilled to gain it.

How do we know this model will be the correct model?

As strange as this may sound, we don’t.

How do the concepts of Hinduism reinforce the concept of panentheism?

Part II of II

...With the un-creation of the universe, the soul would have nowhere to go but back into the Causative Force.

This concept provides significance to the idea that we exist.

No greater significance could be assigned to life than the significance of being a part of something so immense that it actually exists within something bigger than the universe itself.

What could be more significant than being a part of an entity capable of creating the universe?

But there is something more significant and that is where symbiotic panentheism comes into the picture.

Symbiotic panentheism goes even further than panentheism for it not only rationalizes the concept that the soul is significant because it is a part of the Causative Force, but symbiotic panentheism adds the idea that we as beings actually have a significant role to play in relationship to the Causative Force.

The Causative Force needs the soul.

The Causative Force needs you. Symbiotic panentheism doesn’t just say this is so but goes on to rationalize how and why the soul could be significant to the Causative Force Herself.

This does not go against Hindu concepts; rather, it adds to them.

How do the concepts of Hinduism reinforce the concept of panentheism?

Part I of II

Hinduism reinforces panentheism by accepting the idea that the CausativeForce periodically starts over by dissolving the existing universe and building a new one.

The Hindu concept of the Causative Force and self being identical explains why the idea makes sense that the soul came from the Causative Force and is a part of the Causative Force.

If the universe were made by the Causative Force, it can, just as easily, be uncreated by the Causative Force.

The soul then has one of two possibilities in terms of immortality and mortality.

The soul could have the characteristic of immortality and be able to exist even if the universe were uncreated, in which case the soul would have nowhere to go but into an all present, omnipresent, panentheistic Causative Force.

Or the soul could be mortal and die with the death of the universe, which is rejected by Hinduism.

Modern religions (since the last 4,000 years) have put forth the concept that the essence of humans is the soul and that the soul is immortal.

We,  you and I together, have a responsibility to prevent this from happening again. It is action that takes precidence over pacifism here.

We, you and I, Theo van Gogh, were all made in the image of God and as such we are all Divine beings and have the divine right to live our lives free of intimidation, free of subjugation, and free of oppressive acts, free of this form of action.

It is you and I who must stand up to those who would act to control others for their own benefit.

Action not talk. You, yes you, stand up and be counted, stand up and let your presence be known.

So my walking buddy died today.

And so it is I have decided to pour my true inner reflections into this blog and forget about what people may think, and forget about what people may want to hear, and forget about whose feeling I may hurt.

People do not need to come here. People are not required to come here. People have a choice, have free will, do not listen anyway.

And what of my buddy? He was a fifty pound Wheaton Soft Coated Terrier who loved me and I love him. We’d walk and think. He was always by my side always in my thoughts. He kept me docile in terms of blogging and Eastern in terms of my thoughts but now he’s gone.

Four years young, lovable, compassionate, thoughtful, huggable, wet nose, brown eyes which would look  up to me as he lay at my feet with his head resting on his paws or his hunches sitting on my foot while resting his head on my knee accepting me unconditionallly.

Can’t believe he’s gone.

Alone in my thoughts, again.

No one with whom to discuss the issues, again.

Back to where I was nine years ago.

Back to where I was from the age of ten to the age of fifty one – working alone.

A past friend of seven years with whom I’d take long walks and discuss philosophy cut off all communications two years ago when I could no longer afford to pay him for his advice and discourses. He would tell you it was my fault. He would tell you that he no longer could find me tolerable but when the money stopped so did his willingness to develop the ideas. He would say this was just a coincidence but frankly I don’t believe in coincidences.

And now the last living entity willing to listen to my ideas has moved on, stepped over. I know he will be waiting for me when I step over that great divide. I am ready now to cross that great divide but my work here is not done. I, like you, like everyone, have work to do here. I must see it to the end.  I will see it through.

And what is it I must now begin to do? It is time to look to the East. I must look to the indigenous peoples of the world who have been subjugated, dispersed, pushed to the edge of extinction. I have spent much time developing an understanding regarding metaphysics in terms of its legitimacy and implications for the West. Now it’s time to focus on the East and other forms of human culture.

What a tool the web is. I may be working in isolation but the web brings the potential of the work alive every day, every minute. Mendel must have felt deep frustration as he cultivated his pea plants knowing his work had no where to go but in a monistic library far away from all civilization. What courage, what dedication, what a strong sense of belief in the strength of ideas he had. How I envy his dedication.

But what of this work?

Understanding reality, understanding the whole of reality leads us to understanding not only Western ideas but understanding Eastern ideas and the diversity of other human cultures, leads us to understanding what it is the East and the West have in common, understanding where it is the East meets the West and the West meets the East.

Understanding metaphysics, understanding the whole of reality leads us to finally putting Kipling’s comment to rest: ‘East is East and West is West and never the twain shall meet.’

Understanding metaphysics, understanding the whole of reality leads us to finally understanding: East is East and West is West and both do indeed meet and in fact meet at both ends of their spectrums forming a circle.

Understanding metaphysics, understanding the whole of reality leads us to finally understanding: East is East and West is West and together they can enlighten mankind.
